Cardinal Sean Omalley Letterhead

September 23, 2009

Mr. Mario Paredes
Chairman
Catholic Association of Latino Leaders

My Dear Friends in Christ,

As you gather in the presence of His Excellency, Pietro Sambi, Apostolic Nuncio to the United States, and His Excellency, Jose H. Gomez, Metropolitan Archbishop of San Antonio, on behalf of the Catholic Association of Latino Leaders, allow me this opportunity to extend my prayerful greetings and best wishes.

At the invitation of Archbishop Gomez and Mario Paredes, Chairman of the Association, I was privileged to lead CALL’s 2009 Retreat as held in the Archdiocese of San Antonio this past June. It was evident during the retreat that the Association’s members are deeply committed to Catholics for leadership positions.

Although I am not able to be with you this evening due to prior commitments in the Archdiocese of Boston, please be assured of my prayers, support and gratitude for the many good works undertaken by the Catholic Association of Latino Leaders. May this evening’s reception be a time for strengthening friendships and establishing new bonds in order to fulfill the mission given us by Jesus Christ.

Asking God to bless you and all whom you love with His abundant graces, I remain

Devotedly yours in Christ,

Cardinal Sean Omalley Signature
